Walking the path of the great one
We continue our goal of following in our friend Mike's footsteps: I have started volunteering one day a week at Carlos' Kindergarten. At the first one I sat at a table with 4 or 5 students and we traced out the numbers from 1 to 31 for an October calendar. I chose not to point out that we are already in the middle of October and should have done this last month. There was a huge amount of variance between the students. Some had no problem, and frankly had better penmanship than I do. Others really struggled and didn't finish. There were other tables/stations where they did other parts of the calendar. One funny thing was that they mixed up students from all three of the Kindergarten classes. So Owen and Carlos were in the same room even though they normally have different teachers.
